For many the pandemic broke the daily rhythm of their lives. I did not paint for two years – there was little inspiration and less creative flow.
Finding my art feet after the COVID lockdown was not easy. I started small, focusing on a single tree with a canopy of heavily textured leaves to evoke a 3D profile. I used heavily paint saturated brushes to apply the paint in thick layers. It was a great experiment relying on muscle memory to find those lines and colors.
Of course for optimists like me spring is always present, even if we only imagine it.
